Amazon Prime approached BuzzFeed to promote the launch of the second season of their flagship show, The Grand Tour. 

This mammoth post was the result, along with a suite of other original BuzzFeed content. The concept was to create an aspirational utility post, telling information hungry BuzzFeed readers exactly how they can take an epic road trip around the entire world in a car.

My job? Oh, just the small task of planning, calculating and writing up the entire round-the-world journey – the exact route, the fuel costs, the freight quotes, the politically-fraught visa applications. It took rather a long time, to say the least...

The post has been translated into six languages and published in 11 markets, with cumulative views reaching into the hundred thousands so far.
